Your guide email should feel clear.

Reading and joining

You can read the opening section of a published guide without signing in. To read the full library, create a free Guides reader account and confirm your email. Instagram guide links can take you to the newsletter signup first.

What you give us

New readers give their name and email. Your phone number is optional. We do not ask for a date of birth, qualifications or personal therapy details. Returning readers only enter their email to request a secure sign-in link.

What happens when you join

The signup form explains that you will receive your requested guide and future guides from Anu by email. We record that request. Resend sends the secure confirmation link. After you confirm your email, we open your requested guide and add your confirmed, consenting subscription to Kit for future guide emails.

A secure cookie remembers reading access on this browser for 90 days. This is a free Guides reader account, not an Academy member account. Private access links work once and expire after 24 hours. You can request a new sign-in link on another device or after the cookie expires.

Signing in to an existing account does not change newsletter choices. It does not subscribe you again if you unsubscribed.

For the CBT guide, a successful signup also opens that one full guide immediately on the same browser for up to one hour. This temporary access stays in the secure form session; it does not verify your identity or unlock the full library. Until you confirm the email, we do not add you to Kit or link this anonymous reading to your email as reading history. Email confirmation then gives the normal 90-day reading access. Correcting the signup email revokes the earlier request and its temporary access.

Your phone number

It stays private. Entering it does not subscribe you to automated text or WhatsApp messages. The free community is a separate link you choose to open and join.

What we measure

We keep the guides you ask for, and record which full guides you open after confirming your email, including the first and last open and number of opens. An open does not prove you read the full guide. Public preview visits are not recorded as an identified reader opening the full guide. We also record email activity available from our email service, such as opens and clicks. Email tracking is not a reliable measure of reading. We do not use your IP address to guess reading activity.

Leaving or taking a break

Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops future newsletters but does not remove reading access. You can still sign in. Signing out only ends reading access on this browser; it does not unsubscribe you. If there is no observed engagement for 90 days, we may send one reminder and pause newsletters after a further seven days without a response. We do not do this when tracking information is missing or unreliable.

Who helps deliver the service

Our hosting provider stores the guide site. Resend sends secure confirmation and sign-in emails. Kit handles newsletters and subscription choices. Instagram loads only if you choose to load an embedded Reel or post. WhatsApp opens only if you follow a community link. Those services have their own privacy terms.

Keeping information safe

Private access links, email addresses and phone numbers are not public. We use access controls and limited retention for security records. We keep a minimal record of unsubscribe choices so a retry, sign-in or import does not sign you up again by mistake.

To correct your information, request deletion or ask about this notice, contact support@zoecheaacademy.com. Deleting newsletter records may still leave the minimum suppression record needed to honour your choice.
